It was necessary. Her first day here was the day everyone stayed behind during the rift. I sent her out of the rift and promised I'd bring everyone back in time if she went ahead of us. Except I broke that promise and she couldn't read any of the texts we were sending her so she wound up scared and confused. All she knew was she had been sent away on her own.
